Running for a cause…..Accomplished

Back in February, we told you about Running Pony's Running Man, Steve Shipowitz, and his goal to run in the Navy Ten Nautical-Miler in Millington. His original goal was to not only finish the race, but raise $750 for The Fisher House, a group that provides "homes away from home" for military families to be close to loved ones during hospitalization for an illness, disease or injury.  You can learn more about them at their website: http://www.fisherhouse.org/.

Another of Steve's goals was to finish the race in about 2 hours. Early on a recent morning, Steve met that goal and surpassed another, raising $1300! Steve appreciates everyone's help and support. And if you're in Atlanta area on the Fourth of July, cheer Steve on as he joins about 60,000 other runners in the world's largest 10k, the Peachtree Road Race!
